After you thought about this, you ask yourself, where is Injun Joe and the hoard? And then you recognized that it is in the hole and that Joe could be dead. I think here you can see really well how the story is going on.
At Injun Joe you can really good see how the character is changing. Injun Joe is really avoided of money and so he murdered the doctor, because the doctor won´t give him more money. But I don´t assumed that he could be so violent. It´s shameless is giving the guilt to a friend, risking consequently his life.
